Hella to become a real word?

Now, I am by no means a linguist, but hella is an especially unique East Bay slang term, functioning as adverb, adjective and interjection as its etymology explains. It is a colloquialism that is hard to concisely define, and moreover a culture not many understand.

Apparently a UC Davis student began a movement to make ‘hella’ an actual word. But it’s not for what you might think, as the goal is to make ‘hella’ the distinguished SI Prefix for 10^27. You just never know when you’ll need to use that sort of scientific notation. One small step for science, one giant leap for language.
